CSCI 125: Cobol
This page is written with regards to CSCI 125 in the Fall of 2014. You will be using an application called Microfocus Cobol. Microfocus COBOL is no longer available but Open COBOL is available in the QBB244 lab. This is a Cobol IDE available on the department's virtualization infrastructure.
Connecting to the virtual desktop
Instructions to connect to the virtual desktops can be found on the How to connect to a remote windows desktop page. If you do not know your account info, contact support@cs.ndsu.edu.
File Storage
Files stored on the virtual desktops are NOT guaranteed to be persistent. In addition, you are NOT guaranteed to be assigned the same virtual desktop you used previously. Save your assignment files elsewhere.

Open COBOL
Open COBOL is installed in the 244 lab.
It is a command line COBOL compiler. Open COBOL on Ubuntu
