Instructions for configuring the licensing for MicroFocus Net Express compiler

Open licensing program

First open the licensing program by going to the Windows icon, then “All Programs”, then “Micro Focus Net Express…” Then “Configuration”, and finally “License Management System”.

You'll see a screen like the one below:

Configuring the license

To configure the licensing, first check “Use Network Licensing” and then click on “Connection Wizard”.

Fill in license server details

Click 'Next' until you see the following screen:

Fill in the following values:

Server Name: msweb.cs.ndsu.nodak.edu
Virtual Directory: MFLiceServ
Port Number: 80

Then click on “Next”, you'll see the following screen:

Enter in “NET EXPRESS” (case-sensitive) for your Group ID and set “Days” to '1'

Request the license

You should then be brought back to the main configuration screen, which should look like this:

Now check the box next to “Net Express” and click on “Request 1-day License”.

Continue through any prompts until you see the following success screen:

The configuration screen should now look like:

Huzzah! Net Express is now licensed for a day. The program should automatically request single day keys when you launch it. You may need to go through this process again if the lab image is updated.
