====== Adding Notary and Notary2 Copier Room (Old Kitchen) Printers ====== The Notary and Notary2 printers are available for Faculty, Staff, and GRA (with permission) use. The two printers need to be added as TCP/IP printers (JetDirect under MacOS). Access is available from the **CS Department offices** and Faculty labs. Click Next ==== Step 8: Windows is thinking... ==== This may take a while. If windows asks for a Driver use 'HP Universal Printing PCL 6'. It should be in the list towards the bottom, otherwise click 'Windows Update' to retrieve the driver. TBD (I still need to find a computer where it asks for a driver in order to complete this section.) ==== Step 9: Printer Name ==== Hopefully, Windows will retrieve the printer name, if not, you may have to enter your own. Sometimes not. If windows returns a Install the printer driver dialog box without a Manufacturer listing for HP, you will need to use windows update. **Note: Windows update can take a long time 5-10 minutes to update driver list.** {{:helpdocs:notart_windows_update_win11.png?direct|}} Click Next This will take a while... sometimes a long while. {{:helpdocs:notart_windows_update_wait_win11.png?direct|}} When Windows Update is done you should get a Manufactures listing that contains an entry for HP.
