====== Instructions for configuring the licensing for MicroFocus Net Express compiler ====== ===== Open licensing program ===== First open the licensing program by going to the Windows icon, then "All Programs", then "Micro Focus Net Express..." Then "Configuration", and finally "License Management System". {{:deptlab:microfocus:open_license_management.png|}} You'll see a screen like the one below: {{:deptlab:microfocus:license_expired.png|}} ===== Configuring the license ===== To configure the licensing, first check "Use Network Licensing" and then click on "Connection Wizard". ==== Fill in license server details ==== Click 'Next' until you see the following screen: {{:deptlab:microfocus:server_details.png|}} Fill in the following values: Server Name: msweb.cs.ndsu.nodak.edu Virtual Directory: MFLiceServ Port Number: 80 Then click on "Next", you'll see the following screen: {{:deptlab:microfocus:server_group_id.png|}} Enter in "NET EXPRESS" (case-sensitive) for your Group ID and set "Days" to '1' ==== Request the license ==== You should then be brought back to the main configuration screen, which should look like this: Now check the box next to "Net Express" and click on "Request 1-day License". {{:deptlab:microfocus:check_product_request_license.png|}} Continue through any prompts until you see the following success screen: {{:deptlab:microfocus:success.png|}} ==== Final screen ==== The configuration screen should now look like: {{:deptlab:microfocus:fin.png|}} Huzzah! Net Express is now licensed for a day. The program should automatically request single day keys when you launch it. You may need to go through this process again if the lab image is updated.
